Squirrels v Squirrels

No one can argue that squirrels are one of the most adorable animals in the forest and if you are lucky enough to have seen a red squirrel up close, their gorgeous fluffy tails, enthusiastic and bounding energy can't help but make you smile and fill up with joy.

Tonight, I was lucky enough to spend some time with an entire red squirrel Drey and although they didn't have gorgeous fluffy tails, they certainly ticked all the other boxes with delight.

In celebration of the beginning of Scottish Book Week, I was honoured to carry out a book reading for the 10th Perthshire Squirrel Group - the first Squirrel group formed in Perth and Kinross.

With children aged from 4-6 years old, it was easily the quickest 45 minutes I have ever experienced. The children were receptive and engaging to my messages of positive thinking, linked to Franco and The Green Light Fairy, and we all had the best fun making dream catchers.

I couldn't possibly choose between squirrels or squirrels - both types are just so much fun that I can't wait to see them again soon.
