I'm not sure whether this is a common trait for anyone reading this, but I have been known to be quite OCD in my time. I spent many occasions growing up trying to hide the fact however, I'm now older, wiser (I hope!) and quite frankly, I don't really mind whether anyone agrees with my OCD or not. I actually find it quite therapeutic sometimes and on other occasions, funny, when I catch myself 'making things neat'.
Don't get me wrong, I don't lose sleep when things are not perfect - I just have a preference for tidiness and formation. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with making sure all your ducks are in a row [or straw-bales in this case!]
In an ideal life, tins in the cupboard would all have their labels facing the same way, and the fridge would be stacked so that you can see everything in there at a glance. Though most importantly, food shopping has to be separated into appropriate bags for fridge items; fresh fruit, and vegetable; boxed goods etc - that is just sensible and practical...isn't it?!
Anyway! Whilst I was out in the car recently, I came across this field near Cupar, Fife, that made me smile from ear to ear. It drew me towards it like a magnet, so I had to stop the car and jump out to take this photo of the most perfectly neat, linear baled field I have ever seen. I stood there admiring it for a while, just breathing in the serene surroundings and tidiness. It was my moment of bliss in a busy day and I have kept looking at this photo ever since.
So thank you local farmer who cut, rolled, and baled their field so beautifully.
